<image:caption>A personal favourite of mine (you may have already gathered I like this location too). I had low expectations of capturing anything worthwhile on this occasion as the original plan had been to get to this point for sunrise. After enduring a torrential shower in little more than a T-shirt and lightweight walking trousers in the hope that the sun would break through a gap in the clouds. Thankfully it did, lighting up the valley with the wet ground adding to the colour and contrast. You can see the next shower coming in from the right. I didn't hang around for much longer</image:caption>

<image:caption>I had visited this spot with the aim to photograph the wider view of the lochan with the mountains behind, which had looked spectacular on a previous visit but the best of the conditions were subsiding as I arrived. For several reasons it didn’t work out on this occasion, but this grouping of trees stood out beautifully against the partially frozen water.</image:caption>
