Ancient Caledonia (part 1)

The Caledonian forest has a long history, with the ancestors of today's pines sharing the landscape with wolves, bears and other fauna no longer present. The interactions between mist, light and the landscape can add mystery, evoking feelings of a wilder past. Opportunities are infrequent, but this is the subject matter I enjoy photographing the most.
